Random Act of Kindness # 1 Hair Donation

My random act of kindness will by donating my hair to Beautiful Length.  I always felt that I am lack of compassion and don't really contribute much to the world/society.  So this might be my first of random contribution to the society.  I hope someone can have a beautiful hair too.

Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park shouldn't be really call Glacier National Park with its quickly diminishing glacier, that's my first though when  the trek first arrived at Glacier National Park.  I mean at first sight, I wasn't quite impressed.  In all fairness to the park, I might be bias as the trek just left Alberta, Canada and we saw some of the heavenly views in Banff National Park.   The beauty of  Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are hard to top.  In addition, Icefield Parkway, Bow River, and Mt. Rundle in Banff does sound a lot more 'romantic' then the names such as Many Glacier, Going-to-the Sun Road. Okay it's out in the open now, that I love Canada -- It's people, culture, outdoor.

Going back to Glacier , the first day wasn't a super good start, as I experienced super windy night at the St.Mary's Campsite and the lack of shower facility did get me a bit cranky (maybe the cooking too).  Next morning I work up early by the sun and  'WOW' is the only word that comes through my mind.  The sun shines through my tent and I saw shadows of the grass; the simple beauty that brights your day.  I unzip my tent, everyone was still sleeping, the ray of sunlight was really bright, the wind dies down a bit, and as usual you smell the freshness in the air; it's just perfect way to start a day.

The group decided to take the shuttle bus to Logan Pass and hike the Hi-Line Trial; best decision ever, as it is such an amazing way to explore Glacier National Park in the limited time we have there. As I hike more, I am going to correct my prior misconception, this park is AMAZING.  Yes, the park certainly has a very different type of beauty then Banff, but it grow on you quickly.   Although there are plenty of hikers on the narrow trial, I was too distracted by the surrounding beauty to care.  The endless mountains, alpine meadow, and sunshine make it impossible not to love this park.   This is my favor type of view, which I can never get enough.   How can anyone not be amazed by this view that nature created?

Hundred Million Suns

When I was young, I always like to tile head and look at the stars until my neck sores and I fell dizzy.  Seeing them and imagine little stories was much easier back then.  Then I forgot about them for a long, long time until I discover outdoor again.  Now days with the millions of man made lights shinning everywhere, I only got to see stars when I go on my travels, ones a year or twice a year if I am lucky.

The stars never fail to amaze me.  They shine like a hundred million suns across the sky in tiny little crystal dots. The beauty of camping, is that you got to enjoy the this amazing view any time you want to.  Especially during the middle of the night, when everyone is sleeping, I got the whole sky to myself.  It is seriously hard to get out of the warm sleeping bags during the middle of the night, but the view and feeling is just priceless.  Close your eyes and imagine, the whole world is quiet, the air is chill and clear; you smell the the dirt, and you look at the sky decorated with a hundred million suns. My tentmate thinks that I need to go use the potty, but in reality I just want to see the stars and enjoy a quiet moment all by myself.  For a little while, I relive the moment where I tiel my head and look at the star until I got dizzy.

Scissor Sisters

Scissor Sisters's concerts are always mind blowing good.  The energy and the vibe are some of the best I ever experience.  The recent show at Terminal 5, NYC is no exception.  As this was their last show in North America, and Del (lead guitarist), Ana (lead singer), Jake (lead singer), and Babydaddy (Bassist) are all from NYC, many of their friends and family came watched.  Ana salute her in-laws and that just make the show feels a little more intimate and special.  I love how she is always so confident about who she was and who is now.  I always pick up these little quotes people say and imprinted in my mind, so there is no exception when Jake said: " I don't believe in guilty pleasure, you like what you like and you hate what you hate" This is so true, it is just part of who you are, you like the things that others my not agree, but it is what defines you.

America and Adventure

This blog was meant to be a site to post all my travel photos, but I hardly updates it.  So I will try to do it better now.  But then again, I only starting to sharing photos and blogs when I need to study.  Studying after an wonderfully crazy trip is very difficult.  All the good times and laughter you share with your pals just play over and over again in you mind until its madness.  I meet a group of amazing people, and I feel really lucky to shared many 'shit got weird' moment with them.  Who knows that 'check out of reality' will be that much fun.

Crack the Shutter by Snow Patrol

Good lyrics are those when you read them you can play it scene by scene.  'Crack the Shutter Open' by Snow Patrol is the purest love song I heard in a long time, but just simply love.  Gary Lightbody is a true poet with a flare. (or maybe I love romance more then I thought)  Just imagine you woke up near the broken radiator, next to that speical person.  You put your bedwarm hand on the cold radiator then you lay them frozen on him.  He mumbal, eyes closed: "can you wake me up later" But you know that he doesn't really want to you to stop, so it doesn't stop you.  You run your hand from his neck down to his chest, feeling his warmth and lost in his heart beat.

He adores you like flowers love sunshine, he keep his gaze on you and only on you.  It's moments like these that you remember the most, and treasures it.

Antelope Canyon, Page AZ

Antelope Canyon is truly amazing and easily accessible, for $50 bucks you are able to lost in the the dream of waves and lines and canyon for a little bit.  We stayed in Page, AZ for two night so we can join the 10 PM tour for the best lighting.  The town of Page is bit boring, very tourist and not really charming, but the tour of the Canyon  make the stay all worth it.  There are just something very special and almost spritual about this place that is hard to explain by words.  You can only feel the magic by being part of the walls.
